Nog een dag…

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

Meetial needs your vote!

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Meetial has listed as one of the competitors for The Next Web tickets that are given away over this weekend. The voting closes on midnight on the night of the 31st onto the first of April on PitchStorm.tv. And Meetial needs your vote! The way to get this startup off the ground is to get in touch with both investors and developers. The Next Web offers a great opportunity to do this. So, please go to PitchStorm.tv and vote for Meetial.

To ensure that the voting will be honest, you will be asked to register. You can register here. Then you can go back to PitchStorm.tv to cast votes for your two best startups. And we hope Meetial will be one of them.

Meetial intends to combine your social networks with your schedule. Enabling you to meet your contacts in person to build or deepen your relationship. Take a look at the website to find out more.

Unexpected, 25 startups in a week?

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

It all started as a very standard morning that 18th of March when I walked into the office. Nothing extraordinary seemed to be happening. But that is the thing with extraordinary, you never know when it is going to strike. That morning it struck during a conversation on The Next Web conference. It started as a suggestion with a hint of humor in it. And then it happened. It hit and it hit hard. Before I knew it, my idea had become a concept and sponsors were jumping the bandwagon. On midnight the 28th of March the deadline to enter for the giveaway of a number of The Next Web tickets, there was a frenzy with Dutch twitterazi. Erwin Blom and I had previously said that we were not going to just hand out the tickets. An effort had to be made. We agreed on that because we both were guessing we might have 5, 8 or at its wildest maybe even 10 startups maximum. Yesterday the impact of the whole thing became clear. 25 startups registered for the tickets. Honestly, I am overwhelmed. Completely. And of course, I am now in heavy competition. Check Meetial.com to see my own entry.

En we zijn online

Saturday, March 29th, 2008
